Last week, our guest speakers from Gulfstream Goodwill—Devorah Kermish, Director of Community Relations, and Laura Waterman, Director of Community Programs—shared how their organization changes lives and transforms communities by creating pathways to independence for people facing barriers through housing, education, training, and employment.

Key Programs:

• Housing: Safe, supportive housing tailored for veterans, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them regain stability and independence.

• Training: Hands-on programs that build practical skills and certifications in high-demand industries, equipping participants to confidently enter or re-enter the workforce.

• Employment: Job placement, career coaching, and connections to meaningful opportunities that foster long-term success and self-sufficiency.

• Justice Services: Reentry support, case management, and employment assistance for individuals transitioning from the justice system, enabling successful community reintegration.

• Shelters (Housing Resource Centers): Emergency shelters in Palm Beach County offering safe refuge, case management, and access to resources for lasting stability.

  
  

Their stories showcase remarkable journeys of resilience: from students excelling in the Career Academy to formerly homeless individuals now thriving in stable jobs. Through inspiring videos, Gulfstream Goodwill celebrates the determination, support, and growth that empower people to overcome adversity and reach new personal and professional heights.
