A Big Congratulations to Our Scholarship Recipients!
Each student will receive a $1,000 award to support their academic journey.


Ashton Horne, a graduate of The King’s Academy, will be studying neuroscience at Florida Atlantic University.


Shea Kopp graduated from Lake Worth High School two years ago and is currently majoring in biological sciences at the University of Miami. A former ROTC member at Lake Worth and now also involved in ROTC at UM, he is considering a future in the Air Force or possibly the FBI.


Schleiden Gabriel, who previously worked with Patrick Livingston at Arms of Hope, is currently studying computer science at the University of Central Florida.

THIS WEEK’S SPEAKERS


Our guest speakers, Louda and Liz, represented the Tampa Bay STEAM Program. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and the program has expanded from Tampa and Tallahassee to now include Lake Worth.


This summer initiative is designed to move kids away from passive screen time and engage them in hands-on, project-based learning. Through activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, students in grades 3 through 8 gain valuable skills for future careers in technology and beyond.


Louda and Liz shared a video demonstrating how students use 3D design tools to explore and express ideas, combining technology with artistic creativity. Arts are an integral part of their tech-based curriculum.


This year’s program was made possible in part by seed funding from one of our very own members. Classes began in June and will run through August 6th.
