We are pleased to welcome our newest member, Tony Lofaso, who is transferring from West Palm Beach following his retirement and relocation to Lake Worth Beach. Welcome, Tony!

Our secretary, Josh Nelson, is revising the bylaws to reflect the changes discussed at the bylaw meeting. He will present the amended bylaws to the board in March.

We currently have nine students who will receive scholarships this year.

We have donated to the following organizations:

• Lake Worth High School-$250 for prom sponsorship

• Highland Elementary- sponsoring the aftercare program $250

• South Grade Elementary-sponsoring the aftercare program $250

• Friends of The Lake Worth Library -Bibilioarte event sponsorship $350 

• Tusonge Children’s Ministries: $2,000 support of their building expansion project

• Ak Tenamit in Guatamala: Phase II Water-$250

• Guatamalan-Maya Center in LWB -$250

Tour of the Education Foundation facilities with

The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County (EFPBC), formed in 1984, serves the schools, teachers, and students in the School District of Palm Beach County.  As the philanthropic partner to the school district, we facilitate student achievement by supporting high-quality public education through partnerships and community collaborations, grants, events, scholarships, and public awareness.  

The Education Foundation partners with The School District of Palm Beach County, which is the 10th largest district in the nation and the 5th largest in Florida. There are 186 public schools with over 197,000 students and more than 13,080 teachers.

Impact of Programs and Grants Supported by the Education Foundation in the 2024-2025 school year:

• 162 public schools served throughout the School District of Palm Beach County

• awarding over $1 million in funding to support 98 innovative programs

• 145,000 students served

• 7,000+ teachers/administrators impacted

• Over $1 million in free school supplies distributed
