Last week our speaker was Jake Rosner, VP of the Aquarium Department of the Cox Science & Aquarium Center responsible for overseeing the implementation of the new aquarium in the upcoming 135-million-dollar expansion project.
Serving Palm Beach County since 1961, the Cox Science Center revolves around a simple premise: Science is Exciting! Our mission is to “Open Every Mind to Science” and we are delivering on this promise by providing schools, and visitors an entirely new set of science programming and tech ventures based on computer coding, robotics, and leading-edge educational programs.
In the upcoming years, the aquarium will be completely reimagined, expanding from its current 12,000 gallons to 150,000 gallons and featuring some of Florida’s most compelling species! An active SCUBA instructor with over 3,500 dives, Jake will also be responsible for ensuring safe diving practices at the Science Center.
