The Card 50/50 drawing fund has reached $587 with 31 cards left in the deck.

You can’t win if you’re not at the meeting, so come on out.

Jim Gavrilos’ $108 donation challenge for the Forgotten Soldiers event on November 6 has been accepted so far by 4 Rotarians to date. If you want to contribute to this great cause, please let the treasurer know.

Last week, our speaker was Jason Katz, a fitness and nutrition expert who founded the C.H.O.I.C.E. Foundation.

This foundation teaches intercity kids how to stay fit through nutrition and proper physical exercise.

As part of the lesson, they teach what food is healthy and what to avoid. Also, they teach the importance of reading the label to avoid unhealthy eating.

Jason emphasized the need to make these lessons fun and interesting.

His company is Circle of Life Saving/Fitness.

Polio Plus “Ice Cream” night

This past week was an active one for Rotary service.

On Thursday, we held a Polio Plus fundraising event at the Carvel Ice Cream store on Hypoluxo Road & Congress.

Carvel donated 20% of their sales for that evening if the customer mentioned Rotary when purchasing their ice cream—-so our job was to give all the customers information about the Polio Plus program as they arrived at the store and Pres.  Amanda made sure of that

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE “Hypoluxo” CARVEL.

Our new favorite ice cream store.
